NATUF organization organizes an introductory workshop for the project “Environmental and Health Impact of Wadi Gaza Pollution“ Gaza – NATUF
NATUF for environment and community development organization organized an introductory workshop on Tuesday, March 7 2017 of the project (Environmental and Health Impact of Wadi Gaza Pollution) funded by the Global Environment Facility, GEF's SGP UNDP at Al Salam Restaurant in Gaza City. .
The workshop started with a presentation which explore the objectives, activities and the most important expected outcomes of the project. Hence, it’s highlighted on the prominent continuity of such projects and intensified the efforts and cooperation of all the concerned parties.
In his turn, the Chair of the Board COB, Mr. Hatem Hassouna, welcomed all the attendees of the municipalities, ministries and donor agencies. Where he presented a brief introduction of the organization as he also mentioned the expected objectives from such activities and environmental projects.
He stressed on the need necessity to develop the community-based environmental programs in accordance with the standards of sustainable development through which the development of Palestinian society stems, Mr. Hassouna clarified that this project adhered with the implementation of the strategic plan of the organization which is accredited for the coming years (2017-2020).
For her part, Ms. Nadia, the National Coordinator of the Global Environment Facility GEF, said that GEF has funded 150 projects from (1999 TILL NOW) in various topics such as biodiversity, climate change, biodegradable and environmental pollutants.'

In conclusion, the attendees made a lot of distinctive interventions in which they declared their real support to such projects and the essential need to develop and expand the environmental programs for its positive and clear effects on the Palestinian people and the community as well.
